One of the most amazing things that Joey has taught us is that we may think we make plans and we may think that we have any kind of "control" over what life will bring us, but that is just not the case. Thank goodness! Having a son who has an extra chromosome has brought us more joy, more laughter, more appreciation, more compassion, more empathy-- more of everything all wrapped up in that extra 21st chromosome. What is the life that is waiting for you?

Trying new things- the Honey Bear Cup |
Love the quote! And I agree ... having our little one has brought so much more into our lives than we could have ever imagined. And ... what is with the socks? I no sooner put them on Miss K's feet that one or both has been discarded somewhere behind her. :)
ReplyDeleteThis made my morning. I was really down yesterday- not so much about the Down syndrome aspect of motherhood- more the cleaning and cooking aspect. But then I remembered that all the rest of the crappy parts of motherhood just make the good parts- the children themselves- even better.
ReplyDeletemy life is way better than I could have ever planned it for myself. WAY.
Your boys are adorable. I'm interested to see how the honey bear cup goes for you.
I LOVE that quote. So true! Great photos :)
ReplyDeleteWell said, Jennifer. It makes e look at that quote in a whole new light. The sweetness in life is just so much more sweet with our kids!
