When I'm not working or raising a family, I try to volunteer some time to a women's organization called The Junior League. I have been a member since 2005 and this year I have been working on an exciting and fun event with an amazing committee and two wonderful co-chairs. I hope you'll forgive the break from kid talk and my daily ramblings for a brief interlude to promote our event-- A Taste of the Tour.
The Junior League of Akron is hosting The Kitchen Tour the weekend of May 20-22. It consists of a self-directed tour of six gorgeous kitchens in West Akron, Fairlawn and Bath.
Sunday, May 15th, The Junior League of Akron is hosting an exclusive sneak peek preview-- A Taste of the Tour, which goes from 2-5pm and four of the six Kitchen Tour homes are included on this exclusive pre-tour event!
What makes A Taste of the Tour so special and so fun is that a week before the rest of the homes go on tour for the public, you get to see four of the homes and enjoy samples of savory chef-prepared appetizers as well as delicious deserts at each of the homes on the tour!
Included on this preview tour are the following homes (full addresses will be available for pick up along with the goodie bags the day before and the day of the event):

Tickets are only $45 for general admission (which includes a tour of the above listed kitchens, all the fabulous restaurant and bakery samples, a JLA cookbook and goodie bag) and $85 for patron tickets (which includes a tour of the above listed kitchens, all the fabulous restaurant and bakery samples, the JLA cookbook, goodie bag and a ticket to return to the full 6 house tour the next weekend).

This is going to be a fun and fantastic way to spend a Sunday afternoon. All the moneys raised will be going to the Junior League's focus project to help serve the greater Akron community.
