It seems like everyone (his peers with Ds) were all passing him up. But Joey is making progress. It is hard for us to watch them struggle (and it seems like forever sometimes), but as Tom says - it is still progress and that's wonderful! Hang on, Jen. Joey has a wonderful and loving family. He has everything he needs and he will get there! Sending prayers that you get yours answered! Merry Christmas! I'm saying a prayer for you and Hope ...Hi Lisa! I'm saying a prayer for you and Hope and your family as well! I feel like most kiddos who have Down syndrome are walking by now- it hurts to sometimes feel like Joey is just behind his typical and his DS peers. Isn't the relationship with the siblings incredible? It brightens my heart-- hugs and prayers and joy being sent to you!!!!Jenny Dawnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14606622799302380804noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5931339813365183751.post-60988854648296454862013-12-10T23:08:17.567-05:002013-12-10T23:08:17.567-05:00Thanks for your honest sharing. Honestly, my pray...Thanks for your honest sharing. Honestly, my prayer is very similar. Hope turns 3 in early Jan. and is just now finally taking steps with the walker. She's definitely not as heavy as Joey, but I so identify with the heavy part. It's just plain hard to carry/lift her - esp. since she has recently become VERY active and is not content to just to be in my arms. We long for the day that she's walking & running beside her big sister (4). Prob my favorite part of your blog though is where you said your older son has never once asked "What's wrong with Joey?" We've had the exact same experience & it's sooo awesome. Sending up a prayer for you & your family right now. Merry Christmas!Lisa Wilsonnoreply@blogger.com
